The yellow cherry tomato to “pacchetelle” is a typical variety of tomato grown and harvested in the Vesuvius National Park.

 

They have a very sweet and delicate flavor, a rather thick skin with a lot of pulp and few seeds.

They are characterized by a small oval-shaped fruit with a golden yellow color.

The cherry tomatoes are preserved using an ancient Neapolitan family method called “Pacchetella”, manually cut and crushed into the jar with a pinch of salt.

This process allows to maintain the characteristic sweet taste unchanged and to use it to garnish Roman-style or round pizzas.
