The spunzillo cherry tomatoes, also known as “pizzutello,” are typical of Campania and are grown in the fertile lands of Vesuvius.
They are oval-shaped, slightly elongated, and have a distinctive “point” at the end.
A perfect balance between sweetness and acidity makes them extremely versatile in preparing fillings for pizzas and focaccias of any kind.
